I've been reading articles covering the deadly militant attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore. At first it was only a report stating facts. 7 players were wounded and 7 other people killed.
I went to the TOI website and read that our neighbors now believe we're behind the attack (by we I mean India). One minister apparently claimed this is our response to the Mumbai Attacks from November. And that we wanted to prove that they are a militant state. Right!
Kill another neighbor to prove one is at fault.
But wait, did those ministers just confess that Nov 26, 2008 was their doing? That they are the perpetrators? We captured one of those beasts alive...isn't that proof enough?
When will the finger pointing stop? When both sides admit there's a problem, why does it take so long to get the problem resolved? So we condemn their loss and they condemn ours. Does it really mean anything?
It does sting when its your own innocent people that have to bear the brunt of your wrong doing and fanatical ignorance. So stop pointing fingers and do something about it damnit!
PS: At times I don't trust everything I read on TOI - so to be fair I went to Reuters and BBC. Both had similar accounts about the finger pointing...just for the record!
