...for me of course, not for her. She's too little to really understand or express. Yet, I couldn't hold back the tears as I hugged her, as I let her go back to "thathi's" arms and as I drove to work this morning. And somewhere deep down inside I think she understood that her mother was upset. But she maintained this stoic expression on her face, almost too mature and grown up for an infant. As if to tell me, not to cry and not to worry about her. She's in good hands and she'll be just fine (just as long as she gets her milk ;-)).
The real test for Ahana will be when day-care starts. Let's hope there will be no tears for her then. We can pray and hope, but time will tell!
